Stunning views are commonplace in Phuket, Thailand – between the sugar-sand beaches, aquamarine seas, lush vegetation and elevated hills it’s easy to find a beautiful spot for a sunset cocktail. But 360° Restaurant & Bar at the Pavilions, Phuket has raised the bar with its gorgeously casual, yet upscale setting which presents a panoramic view of Phuket’s west coast…and the libations aren’t bad either.
Their monthly soirée, “Come around Sundown“, offers a focused tapas menu, half-price cocktails and tuneful grooves played by DJ Jay Le Shark. The crowd that gathered was a nice mix of the island’s young professionals ready to let their hair down alongside affluent hotel guests in holiday mode. Definitely the makings of a stellar phuket evening…
Bellini variation: Bitter orange italian liqueur, blood orange juice, prosecco
Deliciously crispy (and not oily) calamari – the accompanying tartar sauce could afford to ramp up the flavor, but they were fantastic with just a squeeze of lemon.
Bellini variation: Pear, ginger liqueur and prosecco
Wagyu beef skewers were exactly what they should be: intensely beef-y, super tender with a sinfully “fat” mouth feel.
From Soul II Soul to Nina Simone remixed, DJ Jay Le Shark put his thing down playing laid back, soulful tunes that were the perfect soundtrack for the evening’s festivities.
