Was missing home a bit, so decided to make some truly (southern) American comfort food: Shrimp & Grits. For all of you that are unfamiliar with grits, they are a staple in the south: ground corn, kind of like a more refined polenta – less coarse.

The grits are topped with cheddar, pancetta and sauteed shrimp with a garlic, vegetable broth reduction. Ms Q’s (non-American) husband loved it and ate 3 plates! (of course in the morning we were at the gym, to pay in sweat for this decadent indulgence)
